This sandal is perfect for
summer and fall casual wear. It is comfy and attractive with
or without socks. Good arch support and wears very well. Will
last years. I practically live in my Nash Pump. If I plan on
walking a long distance I choose another shoe as sandals are
too much exercise on the calf muscles. I have been buying
these same shoes my whole life. This time I got the soft bed
style. These shoes are fantastic!
Although, I feel like this
sandal runs a little large, I think the next size down may be
too small for me. I have a wide foot. I have trouble with the
metarsal arches in the ball of my left foot and the
Birkenstock Arizona with soft footbed offers great support &
comfort. The suede tends to stretch because it is so soft. But
this can be easily fixed by adding an extra hole.I bought this
shoe mainly because of its reputation for comfort, the soft
footbed, and the great price I was offered. However, I made
the mistake of wearing them extensively on the first day,
without "breaking them in," and paid the price by suffering a
"raw spot" on the top of my foot under the part that buckled.
So unfortunately I have to wait until the sore heals before I
start wearing these sandals again. Other than that, the
sandals felt great, cradling my foot nicely and being very
comfortable. Bought these for my husband--slipped my foot in
to experience the soft footbed. So nice! Husband and I have
both had the standard Arizonas for years, the soft footbed is
a definite improvement. Same support as the old Michael Kors,
just a little more comfort and give. Husband loves them! Do
wish Birkenstock would offer more than suede straps for
options with the soft bed, though. Shoebuy was great with an
exchange we had to make for size. |
