I tried the shoe on at a local
store first to ensure the Narrow fit would work because I
heard Birks run wide. Good idea, since I had previously
purchased the wide size from Michael Kors Fulton and didn't
want to pay for the shoe repair to put holes in the straps to
make them fit, so I had to return them. Anyway, the shoes fit
and feel like a dream. This was my second pair of Fulton
softbeds. After extensive foot surgery I could no longer wear
the hard regular footbed. Then along came the softbed and I am
thrilled! Wish they had more colors in a narrow width. They
are so much more comfortable and still give good arch support.
I have flat feet, and if you have that also, don't buy the
Birkenstock SOFT footbed because you feel no support
whatsoever except when you're in real pain. But since I
already bought it, I must deal with it!
Love Birkenstocks. Have no
metatarsal arch and my old stocks were just starting to leave
me with pain in the ball of my foot. These soft bed stocks
keep my feet actively working throughout the day without that
pain and burning in the ball of the foot. Fantastic! I started
wearing Birkenstocks a few years ago to aid a heel problem.
The arch support is great and also they way they cradle the
heel. They can be a little short on style but can't beat the
comfort. I really like the soft footbed and wish it was
available on more styles. |
